Shapes of Things is an exhibition of recent paintings, drawings and sculptures. The work is improvisational, following narrative threads into material expression. The imagery, colour and form in the work are configured to create new intersections of meaning through overlapping, intention and accident.

Andrew Hunt studied at NSCAD and SUNY Purchase. He has shown work through Canada, the US and Europe. Prior to Halifax, he lived in Brooklyn, New York, where he worked as an artist and taught drawing and colour classes as LIM College in Manhattan. He is currently an instructor of painting and drawing at NSCAD University and lives in Halifax. The production of the work in this show has been generously supported by Arts NS.
